One of my favorite photographers is Lee Friedlander. I have most of his books. Every now and then I have a second where I see the way he must every day. This was one of those moments.
These things pop up in the oddest places, empty fields and parking lots. They have the wonderful look of timeless design, with nuts and bolts and big honkin' wheels to turn them on and off.
